Reviews & Ratings

Reviews and ratings let you share your honest experience with an organization, one of its branches, a product, or an event — a star rating, an optional written review, and up to six photos. Other people (and the organization's owner) can see it, and owners can reply.

Where reviews live

You'll find reviews on four kinds of pages in eNepali:

  • an organization (business) page
  • a branch of an organization
  • a product
  • an event

Every reviews section works the same way, so once you've written one review you already know how to write them all.

At the top of the section you'll see the overall picture: the average rating (like 4.3), a star row, the total number of reviews, and a small bar chart showing how many people gave 5 stars, 4 stars, and so on down to 1.

Web vs App

The layout is the same idea on both, but the entry points differ. On the web, the reviews section is built right into each organization, branch, product, and event page. In the app, the detail page shows a compact rating summary (the stars, the average, and the review count) — tap it to open the full Reviews screen for that item.

Sorting the list

You can reorder the reviews you're reading:

  • Recent — newest reviews first (this is the default)
  • Highest — the highest star ratings first
  • Lowest — the lowest star ratings first

On the app these appear as Recent / Highest / Lowest chips above the list; on the web they're the same three buttons.

Writing a review

You need to be signed in to write a review. If you're not signed in, the web shows a Sign in to write a review button, and the app shows a prompt asking you to sign in first.

You can leave one review per item. If you've already reviewed something, the button changes to Edit your review and reopens your existing review instead of starting a new one.

To write a review:

  1. Open the organization, branch, product, or event you want to review.
  2. Start a review.
    • On the web, select Write a review — an inline form opens right in the reviews section.
    • In the app, open the item's Reviews screen and tap the Write a review button at the bottom — a slide-up sheet opens.
  3. Tap the stars to set your rating, from 1 to 5. A rating is required — you can't submit without at least one star.
  4. Add a Title (optional) — a short summary of your experience.
  5. Add your review text — the Share your experience (optional) box on the web, or the Your review (optional) box in the app.
  6. Add photos (optional) — up to 6 images. Select Add photos (web) or the photo icon (app) and pick images from your device. A counter shows how many you've added (for example, 3/6).
  7. Select Submit review.

If a photo isn't right, remove it before submitting by tapping the small on its thumbnail.

tip

Title and text are both optional — a star rating alone is a perfectly valid review. But a sentence or two and a photo help other people far more than stars by themselves.

The verified badge

Some reviews show a small verified check mark next to the reviewer's name. This badge simply means eNepali has confirmed that review — it's a signal that the review is trustworthy. Not every review has it, and there's nothing you need to do to display it; it appears automatically when a review qualifies.

Owner replies

The owner of an organization can respond to reviews publicly. When they do, their reply appears just beneath the review, labelled Response from the owner (with their name when available, otherwise just "the owner"). Everyone reading the review can see the response — it's a public back-and-forth, not a private message.

For organization owners and managers

If you own or help run an organization, you can reply to reviews from your organization's Reviews area in the eNepali web workspace. Open a review, select Reply, write your public response, and select Post response. This management view is for replying only — you can't write or report reviews there, and hiding or removing reviews is handled by the eNepali team, not from this screen.

Viewing your own reviews

Every review you write is marked as yours wherever it appears, with Edit and Delete options right on it.

The app also gives you one place to see all of your reviews together:

  1. Open Kura-Kani.
  2. Go to the Reviews tab.

There you'll see each review you've written, along with the item it belongs to (its name, a small image, and whether it's an Organization, Branch, Product, or Event), your rating and text, your photos, and any owner replies.

You can narrow the list down:

  • Filter by type with the chips: All, Organizations, Branches, Products, Events.
  • Search your reviews with the search box at the top.
  • Sort them with the sort control: Latest first or Oldest first.

If you haven't written any reviews yet, you'll see No reviews yet, with a note that reviews you write on organizations, branches, products, and events show up here.

Web vs App

The combined "all my reviews" list — with search, type filters, and Latest/Oldest sorting — is an app-only feature, inside Kura-Kani → Reviews. On the web, there isn't a single "my reviews" page; instead, your own reviews are marked and editable directly on each organization, branch, product, or event page where you left them.

Editing a review

You can change a review any time after you post it.

  1. Find your review — on the item's page, or (in the app) in Kura-Kani → Reviews.
  2. Open Edit (on the web it's an Edit link on your review; in the app it's the menu, then Edit).
  3. Adjust your stars, title, or text, and add or remove photos. Existing photos you keep stay on the review; anything you remove is dropped, and you can add new ones up to the 6-photo limit.
  4. Select Update review.

Once you've edited, the review shows a small (edited) note so it's clear it was changed after posting.

Deleting a review

To remove a review completely:

  1. Find your review and choose Delete (in the app, the menu → Delete; on the web, the Delete link on your review).
  2. Confirm when asked — the app asks Are you sure you want to delete your review?, and the web asks Delete your review?

The review and its photos are removed, and it stops counting toward the item's average rating. Deleting is permanent — if you change your mind later, you'd write a fresh review.

caution

Deleting can't be undone. If you only want to change a rating or fix a typo, use Edit instead of deleting.

Reporting someone else's review

If a review that isn't yours breaks the rules, you can report it. On a review that isn't yours, choose Report — the menu in the app, or the Report link on the web.

  • In the app, a Report review sheet lets you pick a reason: Spam, Inappropriate, Harassment, Misinformation, or Other. After you send it, a short message confirms the review has been reported.
  • On the web, you're asked to type a reason (spam, inappropriate, harassment, misinformation, or other).

Reporting is private — the review's author isn't told who reported it — and the eNepali team reviews reports and decides what happens next. You can't edit or delete someone else's review; reporting is the way to flag a problem.
