Businesses & Organizations
Businesses and organizations are the heart of the eNepali community: restaurants, shops, travel agencies, associations, and other local groups all have their own page where they share posts, products, events, photos, and more. This guide shows you how to find them, follow the ones you love, explore everything a business page offers, and even claim or create a page of your own.
eNepali uses these two words interchangeably for the same kind of page. In the English interface you will most often see the word Organization — on both the app and the web, the menus say things like "Organizations," "My Organizations," and "Create organization." Some places (and this guide) still say "business." They point to exactly the same pages.
What an organization page is
Every business or organization on eNepali has a dedicated page with:
- A cover image and logo at the top, plus the organization name, its type shown as a small badge (for example "Restaurant"), and a follower count.
- Quick details like website, address, and — when the organization has more than one location — a count of its branches.
- Follow and Message buttons.
- A set of content tabs that change depending on the kind of organization.
On the mobile app, the header also shows a rating and review summary (a star rating) that you can tap to open the reviews. On the web, the header does not show a rating; reviews live in a separate Reviews tab (see below).

Finding organizations
There are a few ways to discover organizations.
On the mobile app
The app has a browsable, searchable Organizations list:
- From your feed, open the full list — for example, tap See all on the "Organizations Near You" section, or tap one of the organization-type shortcuts (Restaurants, Shops, and so on) at the top of the feed.
- Use the search box at the top to search by name. Its hint reads "Search organizations…".
- Filter the list using the tabs across the top:
- All — every organization.
- Popular — organizations lots of people are following and engaging with.
- Near You — organizations closest to your location.
- Tap any organization to open its page. Pull down on the list to refresh.

On the web
On the web, you reach an organization page mainly through search and through your feed — for example, when an organization posts something, or when it appears in search results. Tapping an organization anywhere takes you to its page.
The mobile app has a browsable Organizations list (reached from the feed) with All / Popular / Near You filters and a search box. On the web, you typically discover organizations through your feed and through search rather than a standalone directory.
Following an organization
Following an organization means its posts and updates can appear in your feed, and you will hear about its news and events.
- Open the organization page.
- Tap the Follow button near the top of the page.
- The button changes to Following. Tap it again any time to unfollow.
You need to be signed in to follow an organization. If you are browsing as a guest and tap Follow, eNepali will send you to sign in first. The same is true for messaging.
Messaging an organization
Right next to Follow is the Message button. Tap it to start a private conversation with the organization through Kura-Kani (eNepali's messaging). If you already have a conversation going, it opens that same thread instead of starting a new one. As with following, you will be asked to sign in first if you are not already.
Exploring an organization page: the tabs
Below the header, an organization page has tabs. Which tabs appear depends on the type of organization and on what content it has actually added — empty sections are hidden, so you only see tabs that have something in them. Overview is always shown.
Tabs you may see include:
- Overview — the organization's story and key details (see below). Always present.
- Menu — for restaurants, their food and drink items.
- Products — for shops, the items they sell.
- Packages — for travel agencies, their tour and travel packages.
- Posts — updates and announcements the organization has shared.
- Gallery — photo galleries.
- Events — upcoming and past events the organization is hosting.
- News — news items linked to the organization.
- Reviews — ratings and written reviews from the community. This tab appears on the web. On the mobile app there is no Reviews tab — instead you open reviews by tapping the star rating in the header.
A restaurant shows Menu, a shop shows Products, a travel agency shows Packages. So the exact tab names you see will vary from one organization to another.
The Overview tab
Overview is the home base of an organization page. Depending on what has been filled in, you may see:
- Description — the organization's own write-up. If it is long, tap See more… to expand it and See less to collapse it again.
- Facilities — small labelled chips for amenities the organization offers.
- Information — a tidy list of practical details, which can include:
- Opening hours
- Phone (tap to call)
- Email (tap to email)
- Website (tap to open) — on the web this appears here; on the app the website is shown up in the header instead.
- Location — the address shown on a map.
- Social — buttons linking to the organization's Facebook, Instagram, website, and other profiles.

Products, Menu, and Packages
These tabs list what the organization offers — dishes for a restaurant, products for a shop, travel packages for an agency. Tap any item to see its full details.
Posts, Gallery, News, and Events
- Posts shows the organization's updates, which you can like and comment on.
- Gallery shows its photo galleries; tap to view them full-screen.
- News shows news stories connected to the organization.
- Events shows its events — tap through to see details and mark yourself as interested or attending.
Reviews (web)
On the web, the Reviews tab shows the overall rating and everyone's written reviews. On the mobile app, tap the star rating near the top of the page to open the same reviews. If you are the owner of the organization, you can reply to reviews.
Viewing branches and locations
Some organizations have more than one location — a chain of shops, for example. When an organization has multiple branches, the page shows a branch count near the top (such as "3 Branches"), and the Overview tab includes a branch selector.
- Pick a branch from the selector to re-focus the Overview on that specific location. The map, address, opening hours, and phone all update to that branch.
- Choose the head office or the overall company view to go back to the organization as a whole.
Each branch also has its own detail page showing:
- The branch name and address, with a button to open the location in maps for directions.
- Photos of that location.
- The branch's opening hours and phone.
- An Open / Closed status indicator.
Branches are a newer feature and may not be visible for every organization yet. If an organization has only one location, you will simply see its single address and there is no branch selector.
Claiming an existing organization
If a page already exists for a business you own or represent, you can request to take it over. This is called claiming.
- Open the organization page.
- On the Overview tab, scroll to the bottom and tap Claim this business.
- In the form that appears:
- Write a message explaining your connection to the business and why you should be its owner. This is required (up to 1,000 characters).
- Optionally add supporting images — up to 5 photos that help prove your connection.
- Submit the claim.
You will see a confirmation that your claim was submitted. An eNepali admin then reviews your request. While a claim is pending review, the "Claim this business" option is hidden so you do not submit it twice.
You must be signed in to claim an organization. If the page is already yours (you are its owner), the claim option will not appear.

Creating your own organization page
If your business or organization does not exist on eNepali yet, you can create it.
On the mobile app
- Open the For Organizations menu (from the organization area of the bottom navigation) and choose Add Organization.
- Fill in:
- Organization name (required).
- Username (optional) — a short handle, 2 to 30 characters, using letters, numbers, periods, and underscores. It becomes part of the page's public address, so it cannot start or end with a period or underscore, or use two special characters in a row.
- Organization type (required) — choose from the list, for example Restaurant, Shop, Travel Agency, or Association.
- Tap Create Organization.
- A confirmation appears letting you know the organization was created and inviting you to visit enepali.com to finish setting it up. You then land on My Organizations, where your new page appears.

On the web
- Go to the Create organization page.
- Fill in:
- Organization name (required).
- Type (required) — pick from the dropdown.
- Username (optional) — used for the page's public web address.
- Select Create organization.
- You are taken straight to your new organization's settings so you can finish setting it up.
Both the app and the web call this Add / Create organization. On the app, you finish by landing on My Organizations with a reminder to visit enepali.com to complete setup. On the web, you drop straight into the organization's settings to continue setup. Either way you are creating the same kind of page.
Creating the page is just the first step. To add your logo, cover image, description, hours, products, and more, complete its setup. On the app you are prompted to finish setup on enepali.com; on the web you continue right there in the organization's settings.
Here is the overall flow from finding an organization to running one:
Managing an organization you own
Once you own a page — by creating it or having a claim approved — you get owner tools for adding posts, products, events, galleries, branches, and for replying to reviews and messages. On the web these live in your organization workspace; on the app you manage your pages from My Organizations. Owner and admin tools are a big topic of their own and are covered separately.
On the app, open My Organizations to see every page you own or help run. On the web, your organizations are grouped together in your organization area.
